There is no logical reason to run, walk or slog for 13 miles. Why did I sign up to do 13 in 78 days this spring? So that I can receive 3 more planets in a mythical universe called halffanatics.com

And now that I accomplished that goal, I signed up to do 28 in six months to get to Mercury, or eight moons. And since I accomplished that, I'm working on 52 in a year to reach the sun!. When will the madness end!!??

Weekend #13. Halfs 17 and 18. Carmel on Saturday. In the 70's, high humidity but not nearly as bad as Sunburst the week before. It was great meeting some new Fanatics and Maniacs before the race! Took it easy to stay out of the ER, mission accomplished. North Shore in Highland Park Il on Sunday, what a beautiful course! Haven't seen so many 7 figure houses since Naples FL. In the 50's at the start, felt freezing after the hot streak the last few weeks.
