There is no logical reason to run, walk or slog for 13 miles. Why did I sign up to do 13 in 78 days this spring? So that I can receive 3 more planets in a mythical universe called halffanatics.com

And now that I accomplished that goal, I signed up to do 28 in six months to get to Mercury, or eight moons. And since I accomplished that, I'm working on 52 in a year to reach the sun!. When will the madness end!!??

Half #17 of the year, #16 in 12 weeks. Abscessed tooth awaiting root canal + amoxicilln + Vicodin + hot half marathon = disaster. 3 hours in emergency room, hurling all my recovery drinks and food. Hmph, something went strangely wrong yesterday. But I slept the drive home and 11 hours last night, love those E.R. drugs.
